ABOUT US

Pet First Aid & CPR Certified in Bel Air

My name is Nicole Wilson, and I’m the owner of Your Pet AuPair. I am the proud cat parent of Violet & Ivy and Mimi (that’s my grandma name) to my daughter's dog, Daisy Mae.

I’ve lived in Harford County for most of my life and have almost always shared my home with cats and dogs.  I’ve always had a very strong connection with animals, but it wasn’t until Daisy Mae made her way into my life that I realized how important that connection was to me.

I’ve had many jobs over the years: server, real estate agent, sales person, personal assistant, etc., but it wasn’t until I started pet sitting that I knew I had found my calling. I’m truly passionate about my work and I wake up every day ready to get my day started, knowing that I’ll be greeted by all the sits & wiggles I could ever desire!

You can see all of our certifications and associations below.  Continuing my pet sitting education is important to me; I can't be the best if I don't actively pursue knowledge and training.

Jamie

My name is Jamie and I am a native of Bel Air. I grew up in a house full of animals and I am lucky that my 3 children have had the same opportunity. I have cared for a wide range of animals such as fish, birds, hamsters, cats and dogs, and even horses.

I enjoy being active and look forward to helping your furry family members stay active during the day as well.

Jenn

Hello, I am Jenn. I am a native New Yorker who recently moved to Bel Air with my family. I started my career as a pre-school teacher then worked in the non-profit field as a fundraising event coordinator and now, I am super excited to work with Nicole and serve her clients.

Nicole and I met when I was in the need for someone that could handle my hyper and anxious rescue Husky mix Frankie Carlo. I have always had dogs and cats in my household with a wide mix of personalities and needs. I look forward to meeting my new four legged friends!

Par

My Name is Par, a retired LEO, a veteran of the USAF, the owner of 2 German Shepards, male and female, Rico and Eevee.

I am a longtime Harford County Resident, circa 1975, in Maryland since 1970.

Our house has always had a dog in the home from a Maltese to a Lab to German Shepard(s).

We met Nicole when we needed to have  Rico and Eevee taken care of for

a weekend at the house (we take our dogs with us everywhere).

All went well and we were elated with Nicoles service, struck a conversation and here I am.

I look forward to meeting your pup.

Kim

Hi! I’m Kim and I’m so happy to become part of Your Pet AuPair! A little about myself: of course I’ve always been an animal lover, that goes without saying! I worked 4 years at a Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinarian Tech, and eventually expanded my duties to become a Boarding and Grooming Supervisor. I have training in caring for hospital boarders and animal behavior.

I have shared my home with a vast menagerie of pets over the years and now look forward to walking yours!

Dr. Shannon

I was born and raised in Arizona and it was at this young age I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. My interest in animals has taken me across the country. I graduated with my Bachelor’s from the University of Arizona (GO CATS!) and headed to Orlando, Florida to work as a Marine Mammal Intern at The Seas, EPCOT at Walt Disney World. After that, I worked as a veterinary technician while taking conservation biology classes. While I was working to get into veterinary school, I was approached by a fellow co-worker about pet sitting. She had a pet sitting business on the side and needed help. This is where I found my love for watching pets and their homes while families were away on vacation. I loved it so much that I continued to pet sit until I graduated veterinary school.

I have been in the veterinary field in some capacity since 2003 and I received my DVM from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. I have worked in general practice and also doing end-of-life care services since graduating. I worked in Florida, New Jersey, and recently here in Maryland. In 2013, I helped launch the New Jersey Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice location and went full time with them in 2016. When I moved to Maryland in 2020, I decided to carry on my calling in end-of-life care to my own business - Eternal Pawprints Veterinary Hospice. I know what it’s like leaving my own cat of 17 years at my vet’s clinic to say goodbye. It was very difficult and I know that I am making a difference and fulfilling my call as a veterinarian by helping our pets in their last days.

In addition to helping families and pets in their last years and moments, I have found that I still love the idea of pet sitting. When I found Nicole and Your Pet AuPair, I instantly loved her and her company. We are both Fear Free certified which means we take pet's stress and behavior to their environment very seriously. Her and her company's dedication to servicing this community is exactly what I am looking to be a part of.  I look forward to meeting your pets and sharing in  their cuddles and kisses.
